Building strong foundations in the sciences and mathematics — in the department's own words.
Mathematics is compulsory under KNEC requirements, and our department runs targeted programmes to build foundational skills and change attitudes towards the subject. Chemistry and Biology are compulsory in Forms 3 and 4, with Physics offered as an option. Teaching is learner-centred, with a strong emphasis on inquiry and practical work.
