Eric Wainaina represented Hospital Hill at the National Chess Championships, held at Mang'u School from 31 July to 3 August 2026. He competed against strong young players from across the country, showing sharp tactical skill, strong concentration and good sportsmanship — the fruit of months of disciplined preparation and a real passion for the game.
Eric's success was not achieved alone. We thank Madam Ruth Moraa for her leadership and intensive training, and for accompanying and mentoring him at Mang'u — her commitment is central to our co-curricular excellence. Congratulations, Eric, on this milestone achievement.
