PREFECTS MOTIVATIONAL TRIP- MARCH 2024

Prefects Team Building Trip

The prefects embarked on a team-building trip to Embu at Dunda Falls on Sunday, 24th March 2024. The event was meticulously planned to foster camaraderie and cohesion among the prefects, enhancing their leadership skills and teamwork abilities.

The day began with an invigorating Zumba dance session, setting a lively tone for the activities ahead.

Following this, the prefects embarked on a thrilling nature trail, immersing themselves in the beauty of the surroundings and forging bonds through shared experiences.

However, the trip's highlight undoubtedly lay in the heart-pounding experience of crossing the zip bridge. Suspended above the rushing waters below, the bridge offered a thrilling challenge for the prefects.

A palpable sense of adventure filled the air as they gingerly made their way across the swaying structure. Despite its appearance of instability, the bridge held firm under its weight, reinforcing the importance of trust and teamwork among the prefects

Notably, one of our accompanying teachers, Mr. Nyagol, epitomized courage by bravely taking on the wild swing challenge. His fearless act inspired the prefects, demonstrating the importance of embracing challenges and pushing beyond one's comfort zone.

Accompanying the prefects were esteemed school administration members, including the Deputy Principal, Mr Mutemi; Senior Teacher, Mr. Owino; Dean of Studies, Mr. Nyagol; and Madam Rebecca from IQASO. Their presence added guidance and support to the event, enriching the experience for all involved.

After a day filled with adventure and excitement, the prefects were treated to an auspicious lunch featuring delectable chicken, pilau, and chapatis, accompanied by refreshing sodas. The meal provided a well-deserved opportunity for relaxation and reflection on the day's activities.

Throughout the journey to Embu, which spanned approximately three hours, the prefects were captivated by the diverse terrain along the way, further enhancing their appreciation for the natural beauty of Kenya.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the school Principal for his unwavering support in organizing and facilitating this enriching experience for the prefects. His dedication to the holistic development of our students is truly commendable and greatly appreciated.

Overall, the prefects' team-building trip to Embu was a resounding success, fostering unity, resilience, and personal growth among the participants. We look forward to building upon this foundation and continuing to empower our prefects to lead with confidence and integrity.

Today, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions. Today marks the end of an incredible chapter in our lives – our high school journey. It's a privilege to have served as the School Captain, and as I bid farewell to this remarkable community, I am compelled to reflect on the journey we've shared.

Together, we've created memories that will linger in our hearts for a lifetime. Whether it was the spirited energy during school events, the camaraderie that defined our interactions, or the collective sense of purpose we felt as a united student body, each of you has played a pivotal role in shaping the vibrant tapestry of our school experience.

As your School Captain, my mission was clear: to lead with dedication, foster inclusivity, and inspire a positive school culture. I am proud of what we have achieved together. Our commitment to collaboration, respect, and creating a sense of belonging has not only defined my tenure but has become a hallmark of our shared journey.

In the face of challenges, we've displayed resilience, determination, and an unwavering spirit. It was in these moments that I witnessed the true strength of our community. I want to thank each one of you for your support, your trust, and your belief in the vision we collectively pursued.

As I prepare to embark on new adventures beyond these familiar halls, I want you to know that the honour of being the School Captain is not one I take lightly. The responsibility and privilege of leading such a remarkable group of individuals have left an indelible mark on my heart.

To my successor Julius Kathele and the future leaders of our school, I pass the torch with confidence. Your journey will be unique, but I know that the principles of unity, respect, and inclusivity will guide you as they have guided me.

In closing, I extend my deepest thanks to Our School principal, Mr. Ken Bunyasi, the two Deputy Principals, Mr. Paul Mutemi and Mr. Godfrey Njenga, our Senior Teacher Mr. Crispo Owino, our Senior Masters, Teachers, Support Staff and the entire school community – students, and parents – for making this journey extraordinary.
